What Asset Managers Want: An IREM Seminar

Most asset managers and property managers recognize that they must work together effectively to achieve the investment goals of the real estate owners they represent. Yet, a combination of converging responsibilities and competing interests can cause friction between individuals working in these two allied professions. To help attendees minimize any such friction, this seminar will share the results of a recent study conducted by IREM and Virginia Tech. Drawing on the experience of a panel of industry leaders, Instructor Dustin Read will use real-world situations to show how property managers can collaborate more effectively with the asset managers with whom they work to boost the bottom line of the properties they operate.

    • Crucial recommendations on how property managers can add value to the property
    • To better understand the investors strategy
    • To better speak the language of finance
    • Familiarity with the investor’s criteria for success
    • How to provide market insight beyond third-party reports
    • To transform property data into actionable information
    • To act with credibility as a means to better partner with asset managers
